“Our pink plane ...”

Ah, my F86sabre intel database just doubled in size.

1. Lives in Atlanta area.

2. Works for Delta.

Years ago I went to a “wings and wheels” race meet/airshow which featured an unannounced flyby by an Air NZ 747. He came in during the lunch break, silently from behind the hangars, at about 100ft and warp 17 after a close-throttle dive, nailed it over the crowd and reached for the sky. I’ve never seen so many spilled drinks or dropped burgers in one place before or since. They’re big bastards when you meet them up close and personal.

That was damned impressive. Does that require any sore of special FAA clearance? The climb out after that third pass was awesome. Well done.

That's never been entirely secret. Just not something I jump up and scream on Internet forums.
